Hi. I’m Dr. Reed.
Professionally, I’m a researcher, educational consultant, educator, and former school administrator with over 20 years of experience working alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, from adult day programs to every level of public education.
My background is in psychology with a focus on Behavioral Health, and I hold a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Special Populations. In Texas, I’m credentialed as an Employment Services Provider and disability consultant, helping individuals and organizations build inclusive practices that work in real life, not just on paper. I’m also a veteran of the U.S. Army, a two-time TEDx speaker, and a proud author of three books with a fourth book releasing in 2026.
Personally, my deepest insights come from lived experience. As a sibling-caregiver to an adult living with profound autism and a mom to neurodivergent children, I understand what it means to navigate systems that aren’t always built with inclusion in mind. That personal journey drives my work and fuels my passion for helping families and educators advocate for inclusion, equity, and access in all areas of public life.
From leading a professional development session, consulting with a school district, delivering a keynote, or supporting a family navigating special education, my goal is always the same: to share practical, research-based strategies that help people of all abilities thrive in classrooms, workplaces, and communities.
