Meet Our Team

Dr. DeShanna Reed

Dr. Reed is the Founder & Managing Director of D. Reed Coaching, Consulting & Advocacy, LLC. She is an educational consultant, tenured classroom educator, and former school administrator with over 20 years of experience working alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, from adult day programs to every level of public education. Her background is in psychology with a focus on Behavioral Health research, and she holds a Doctorate in Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with a focus on Special Populations. Dr. Reed is a credentialed and contracted service provider for the Texas Workforce Commission, guiding individuals to gain competitive integrated employment and organizations to build inclusive practices that work in real life, not just on paper.

Her deepest insights come from her lived experience as a sibling-caregiver to an adult with profound autism and a mom to neurodivergent children. Dr. Reed understands what it means to navigate systems that aren’t always built for inclusion. That personal journey fuels her passion for equipping educators, educating organizations and workplaces, and supporting families through advocacy for equity, access, and inclusion. Dr. Reed is a two-time TEDx speaker, featured podcast guest, and author of four books. She currently lives in Houston, Texas.
