Before implementing solutions, you must first correctly identify the problem and its root causes. Using my research-based, data-driven approach to coaching and consulting, We guide you to evaluate your existing systems, routines, and data through an Improvement Science lens (Bryk et al., 2017). Then, we work alongside you and your staff to devise realistic, actionable plans to appropriately address areas of growth regarding systemic social and emotional learning (SEL) integration and how to support and retain staff using reflective practices that cultivate collaboration and whole school success.
Equipping practitioners with the knowledge and tools to establish and maintain school cultures rooted in empathy, mutual respect, and reflective practices begins and ends with integrating the core social and emotional learning (SEL) competencies in all aspects of the school experience. As your educational consultant and instructional coach, we will guide educators and leaders to create more accessible, equitable, and inclusive learning environments and experiences using our flagship research-based, proprietary framework, The UDL for SEL.
My keynote addresses, professional development sessions, and workshops engage and empower participants through discussions regarding true accessibility, equity, and inclusion. During in-person sessions, we facilitate discussions concerning some of the most challenging topics facing school communities, such as institutional and implicit bias, breaking the cycle of ability compartmentalization in classrooms, cultural and linguistic responsiveness, and more. Further, we empower educators and leaders, to enlist families as partners working collaboratively to ensure positive, progressive whole-student, educator, and school outcomes.
